Process

Prove the listing and search workflow before expanding.

Use a representative set of listings and a visitor question to shape the first release.

1. Review users and records.

Identify visitors, listing owners and moderators. Review the existing information, its ownership and the maintenance problem.

2. Define listing and publishing rules.

Agree fields, categories, visibility and moderation. Decide how claims, corrections and duplicates should be handled.

3. Build a working slice.

Connect submission, review, publication and search for one listing type. Use sample data in a suitable test environment.

4. Test visitor and staff tasks.

Find a relevant result, handle no results, submit a correction and review an invalid or duplicate submission. Check access boundaries between listing owners.

5. Release with operating ownership.

Agree import, recovery and launch checks. Document who maintains the directory and how unresolved cases are handled.

Prepare the planning guides or describe the first workflow.
